“This picture of Morgan Cryer is deemed to violate community standards? Really? What idiots. I am posting this so that others can see how stupid tumbler has become. This has happened to me 3 times since the Big Change in Dec. NONE of the pictures they deemed in violation of community standards involved nudity, any kind of sexuality or any other violation that I can find reference to in their guidelines. On all three occasions the pictures have been reblogged from other tumblers and in fact are still on those sites! Indeed two of the pictures have since been posted in other sites and reposted on mine with no complaint. Soooo, I am sick of this. If they kick me off, I am simply gone. I enjoy a lot of you who I follow and some who follow me. Best to you if I’m gone. May I just say one more time, al the others were in my head, FU Tumbler!”
Well now, they even blocked my attempt to post this!
I was just followed by another tumbler blog that shall remain nameless for obvious reasons.
This blog had NO posts. If I notice I usually block tumblers with no posts. I don’t really know why, I just do. Probably some very early advice back in 2011 when I had blog number one. I am not sure why, but they had likes as an option. I clicked on it just to see why. Wow, some great pictures, girls nn, nature, animals etc. Then….. a whole column, there were two columns, of really, really hardcore porn. I am not a prude and in fact I really don’t mind a little porn in life. But, folks, this was really out there. Not blocked, now covered up nothing. In the OTHER column, right beside it, some really nice pics of London? Then right below it, LOTS of pictures of women with REALLY large butts.
Now I am not into women with really large butts. I like small bubble buts. I have a good friend who adores women with really large butts. He says he likes to go out with me because we have such differing tastes in women that he never has to worry about us chasing the same women. I don’t think either of us remember what to do if we were to “catch” one.
Well, at any rate, I was not interested in following the blog, I didn’t block it and did bookmark it, but you know what I did? I just moved on.
There is almost nothing in life that I find offensive, well alright, some of the sicker S&M stuff is not my cup of tee, but I have a wide tolerance for most things and most other peoples lifestyles, likes and so forth. I do not really mind too much that Tumbler chose to change their community. They are a PRIVATE company, they are in business to make money by providing a service, they can provide whatever service they choose. (We can choose to go elsewhere if we wish). This is not censorship. Censorship is when the government or an agency of the government does it.
This change may have angered many of us who were used to the “old” Tumbler, It may have inconvenienced many of us, but they have every “right” to do as they wish with their business. What I really object to is the inconsistency of their new standards.
As far as I can tell they do not respond, by a person, to any request for clarification, requests to reconsider their classification of things or pictures they deem to be in “violation of ‘community’ guidelines,” or requests for help. I am not, at this point inconvenienced or irritated enough to close my account. I am getting close!
I still say, “if you are offended by something, Just move on!”
Wow, How quickly things change! Not sure this is a “real” response to my request for help, but here it is!
This really did come while I was typing the above. Maybe they are getting more responsive????
Well, there goes my rant. I still think it applies.
